Jon Day
Jon is managing partner of Market Wise Ag Services and brings over 15 years of commodity marketing experience to your operation. He spends considerable time in the MaxYield area west of Algona providing personalized, one-on-one service with MaxYield clients.
“My objective is to build strong relationships with my clients, look at their situation and present a proposal of solutions that improve your marketing and risk management program. Then we let you decide if it’s right for you,” says Jon.
Jon grew up on a small central Iowa farm and is a graduate of Iowa State University. Prior to Market Wise, he worked at PHI Marketing Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Pioneer Hi-Bred, Garst Seed, Growmark and Cargill.
Brian Chastain
Brian has been working with producers marketing their grain for nearly three decades. He provides personalized solutions for MaxYield clients in our area east of Algona providing personalized, and customizable marketing solutions.
His philosophy has always been to focus on profitability for the farmer rather than trying to outguess the market. “Over the years, this approach has been refined and now encompasses a variety of tools, strategies and reports to meet your needs,” he says. Brian brings a wealth of experience and thorough understanding of the markets to his clients. From forward marketing to basis strategies to complex solutions, he provides an unbiased business approach to marketing.
He began his career with the producer division of Farmers Commodities Corp. Brian, along with three other individuals, then established The Advantage Corp, which ultimately became PHI Marketing Services, Inc., after it was purchased by Pioneer Hybrid, Inc.
